I have a plumbing emergency, what should I do?

Once that’s sorted, give us a ring, whatever the day or time is. We’ll be there shortly to get things sorted.

While you wait, start wiping up any water, position a container to catch any drips, and remove important things from the area. If the house water is turned off, also switch off the heating for the hot water.

Help, I don�t know where the main water shutoff valve is!

You may have been shown it as a stopcock, isolating valve or toby. This valve is normally located on the boundary near the road, usually under a blue or black plastic cover.

Remember, many appliances and fixtures have their own isolating taps also.
